“I received Jesus Christ by Jerry Falwell, when he was coming through on one of his ‘world tours’. My grandmother forced me to become a born-again Christian on my eighth birthday. I walked up there to receive Jesus and all the other kids were falling down next to me and writhing, and being struck down by the Holy Spirit, and he [Falwell] got to me and I didn’t feel anything. And then I fell on the ground just so I wouldn’t be left out. And that was the beginning of my acting career. Thank god.”
